Getting out of bed and scurrying to the window, I open the curtain to see rain. Knowing that I have slept a few more minutes, on a Saturday, I look into the kitchen, stand there a moment, and then start thinking of what to do for breakfast.
The rooster is still crowing out by the barn, which reminds me to hurry and get the kids up so they can go get some eggs from the chicken coop. I'll need a few.
I don't like rushing, but I did need that few extra minutes in the warm bed. It felt so comfy just laying next to Jim. Watching his massive chest moving up and down with his every breath. It took some mind over matter to get myself to pull off the covers, swing my legs over the side, and actually stand up.
Momma Ellie told me, last night, that I do need to start taking better care of myself or I'll run down. I know she means well. A very wise woman, she is.
