The rain came early this morning. Yesterday turned out to be a fairly perfect day, I guess. This March wind is something else. The kids and I had to go chasing empty food bowls, buckets and things all morning. After they got their breakfast and started feeding, they hollered at me to help. Well, that kinda set me back doing the laundry for about 1/2 an hour, but we all got the laundry done, hung up to dry, and finished by the middle of the afternoon. The sun, yesterday, was bright. With the wind blowing like it was, the clothes got a beating while drying on the line. I just love to smell them when they have been up on the line all day! So fresh and clean!
I'm fixing chicken tonight for dinner. We killed and dressed about a dozen a couple days ago, so at least we have started filling up the freezer again since winter. I'll just put it in a roaster in the oven with some carrots, potatoes and onions to make a meal. That will be easy enough, so I might have some time to myself for once while the kids are having their quiet time later. Or, maybe I'll take a nap as well. It's been awhile since that has happened. I'm sure I'll need to get something else done that will take my time instead.
It's my turn to think of something to do on "Family Nite" this Friday. I'm thinking of having us play charades.
